Application :

Matching of Timing Gears to maintain the proper functioning of engine.

Solution :

System was design by Technovision Design team. In house our engineer has done Camera, PLC, HMI Programming. Proper recipes were prepared for different engine models. Bar code scanning was done to select the recipe of specific engine. High resolution Cognex Camera was used along with proper lighting system. Proper control were kept on Manufacturing Process by providing different interlocks & alarm to operators at required stages

Criticality :

Gear Inspection has to be done from almost 1 Meter distance for different variants of engine. Due to long distance, it was quite difficult to visualize marking on gears to match the gears. Selection of Lighting System & Camera resolution was the critical part.
