Application :

Reading of Serial Number on Cylinder (OCR) & Club this data with Other information & Generation of Bar Code to paste on Cylinder.

Solution :

Consists of Vision Camera with good OCR capability. Camera was giving information to PLC System. PLC System was also receiving other data necessary for Bar Code & by combining both the data. Information for Bar Code was generated. The Thermal Inkjets Printer was used to print the Bar Code & Other Information. This Label was pasted on the Cylinder.
If Serial Number was not proper, system is generating Audio Visual Alarm. In house our engineer has done Camera, PLC, HMI Programming.

Criticality :

Sr. Number was punch on the cylinder , that is why it was somewhat difficult to read & create consisting of the operation.
